Get to know Kelsey!

You've probably seen Kelsey around at Valley Park - or maybe you've had her take one of your lessons! 

Kelsey started riding horses when she was 7, and got her first horse when she was 13 years old.  Competing wasn't really Kelsey's thing, she preferred pony club rallies and trail-riding with friends.

As Kelsey got older she began taking an interest in animal nutrition, and decided to study agriculture once she finished high school.  Here, Kelsey developed a love of cows - and she admits that she much prefers raising cattle and showing them over horses!  Kelsey hopes for a career in agronomy (a division of agriculture) or perhaps working with beef cattle. 

This being said, Kelsey loves her work at Valley Park.  She gets a real kick out of seeing her students grow and improve as riders, and especially loves when they show a genuine interest in animal health and horse care.  Oh - and Kelsey's fave pony at VP is Jeddi!
