Meet Hedge

If you've seen a tall, bay, handsome horse being ridden by some of our more experienced students lately, it might be our boy Hedge. Let's get to know him!

Hedge is a fairly recent addition to the Valley Park stables.

Prior to becoming a lesson horse, Hedge was a pony club mount. He had some time off before coming to Valley Park, so Bree spent some time bringing him back into work and assessing his strengths.

Hedge is predominantly ridden by our more experienced riders especially those wanting to improve their jumping skills.

Hedge proved himself as an enthusiastic jumping horse in our recent eventing clinic, confidently tackling both cross-country and showjumping courses.

He loves nothing more than head scratches and a grooming session. Don't be fooled by his size, he really is a gentle giant.
