We sat down with Steph, one of our long-standing VPRS instructors for a quick Q&A.
How long have you been teaching at Valley Park?
Almost 3 years.
Do you have a favourite horse or pony?
I love them all! But if I had to choose, Lilly and Peaches are my favourites!
When did you start riding?
As a five year old - because I was copying my big sister!
Tell us about your first horse.
I purchased my first horse from Trish! Her name was Sugar and she was a very forward moving palomino mare. I learnt so much during my time with her and couldn't have asked for a better first horse!
What about your current horse, Luna?
I purchased Luna as a 5 year old off the track thoroughbred about five years ago. She is a a beautiful mare with real talent - we started competing at grade 3 this year and she almost always finishes in the top 10 or brings home a ribbon!
What are your equestrian ambitions?
My heart lies in the eventing world and Lu just isn't brave enough to jump higher then grade 3 cross country out at competitions. So i am currently on the search for a new horse that i can train and we can go to the top in the eventing world! As of this year i started my own horse training business and hope to see that grow and expand.
